AI Advisory Senior Manager/ Associate Director
Overview
A global nonprofit focused on social impact is hiring an Associate Director/Senior Manager to lead its AI Advisory practice for government and social sector clients in India. The role involves policy advisory, business development, and project delivery at the intersection of AI, governance, and public sector consulting. It reports to senior leadership and offers a one-year contract, subject to extension based on performance.
Location & Work Mode
Based in Delhi.
Full-time, in-office role.
Relocation to Delhi required for the duration of the engagement.
Compensation
45L-55L fixed salary.
5L-7L variable pay.
Key Responsibilities
Lead AI policy advisory and support for government partners, including design and deployment of AI-native tools and governance frameworks.
Engage new government departments/agencies to grow the AI advisory portfolio.
Participate in high-level meetings and workshops with government officials and partners.
Originate and develop new AI advisory engagements, including drafting proposals and growing the practice's pipeline and revenue.
Represent the organization externally through thought leadership and public communications.
Develop AI advisory and evaluation engagements with NGOs, social enterprises, and foundations.
Serve as senior lead on advisory and evaluation engagements, integrating AI products responsibly into client systems.
Design and deliver executive workshops and training programs to build client capability.
Contribute to financial sustainability through sound strategic decision-making and resource stewardship.
Must Have
Strong understanding of LLM capabilities, AI agent architectures, and practical realities of deploying AI.
Direct experience working with Indian government institutions, including ministries or large national programs.
Experience leading complex advisory engagements and managing senior client relationships.
Track record of building and managing high-performing teams with technical and non-technical roles.
Demonstrated experience in client development, including scoping engagements and developing proposals.
Based in Delhi or willing to relocate for the duration of the engagement.
Good to Have
Experience in consulting, digital transformation, product management, or technology implementation for social sector organizations.
Understanding of data governance, procurement constraints, and interoperability in government settings.
Ability to credibly direct a technical team without requiring production coding skills.
Experience in financial management and resource allocation for project delivery.
